Slat Fences
Our clients choose wooden fences for flexibility and convenience. Traditional timber fencing comes in a variety of heights from 3ft - 8ft. Premium Landscapes will supply and install your garden fence. Slatted fencing is the perfect fencing solution for Glasgow gardens that are windy. These are better than standard fence panes which form a barrier to wind and put pressure on the garden fence and the posts and panels which can then become damaged.
Slatted fencing typically has a 25mm/50mm spacing between each slate which permits the wind to pass through the garden fence, but it slows and disperses the wind-flow reducing damage to your garden fence.
Decorative Fences
Panel fencing is generally instated in gardens to create boundaries for people's children's and pets. This type of garden fence is widespread because it can be painted to match the landscape of your Glasgow garden or you can select to leave it natural. The wooden fence panels usually come in either 6ft or 8ft sections and are around 4ft – 6ft in height. The boards can be dog-eared or have pointed pickets. These types are garden fences are sturdy enough to withstand winds, but if the depending on where your garden faces, we may recommend a slat fence. Don't worry the Premium Landscaping team will talk you through all the fencing options.
Ranch Fences
Ranch style garden fencing is a gorgeous alternative to a vertically fixed slats fence. The ranch-style fence is more cost-effective as it uses less wooden materials and requires less labour for fencing installation. However, its primary disadvantage from a security perspective is that it is easy to climb over as the timber boards form suitable steps to climb over.
Picket Fences
Although this kind of garden fencing is not usually used for privacy purposes it looks great and still offers your Glasgow home some security functionality. Pick fencing is commonly used in commercial properties mainly because it has a robust design and can’t be damaged easily. However, we do install them in gardens as they are often seen as more attractive than a wall.
